Therapy Under Canvas
If you’re feeling tired and stressed, Therapy Under Canvas has an enjoyable and healthy solution to help you find your balance again
I have always been interested in natural healing & the way that massage can prevent disease, ease pain & reduce the need for medication.
Having been awarded Diplomas in Holistic massage, Indian Head & Pregnancy massage I wanted to offer treatments in a unique and relaxing environment. I am based in Grove, near Wantage, Oxfordshire.
In case you haven’t guessed, Therapy Under Canvas is located in a bell tent.
I am a firm believer that being in touch with nature is beneficial to all of us so I wanted to be a little more ‘off grid’ with where my treatments take place.
‘Belle’ may be different but is very versatile. Her sides roll up for when the weather gets hot but she can also keep you cosy with her wood burning stove when it gets cooler. Plus I think there is something extremely relaxing about the sound of rain on canvas!
I am fully insured and have professional membership with the British Association of Beauty Therapy & Cosmetology (BABTAC).
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
There are many benefits, both to your body and your mind. Stimulation to the skin and muscles can boost circulation, reduce blood pressure, reduce pain and relax tense muscles. This relaxation can also relieve symptoms of stress and depression by stimulating your ‘feel good’ hormones.
Once you arrive you will be asked to complete a consultation form, this is to ensure that I know of any existing medical conditions that may impact your treatment. It also gives you a chance to tell me any particular areas that need more attention, the pressure you prefer and what you want to get out of your treatment.
I will then give you time to get comfortable on the treatment table.
If you are having a Holistic massage you will need to remove all your clothes apart from your underwear. For Indian Head massage loose fitting, comfortable clothes with a low neck is recommended.
After your treatment it is very important to give yourself time before getting up. It is important to drink plenty of water for the 24hrs following your treatment and avoid caffeine and alcohol during this time.
(At this time I am not accepting male clients)

Make an appointment
I am currently not taking any bookings.
Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
If you are unable to keep your appointment, please let me know as soon as possible and should you wish, I will offer you an alternative session, subject to availability.
If you need to cancel your appointment for any reason, you may do so without charge by giving at least 48 hours’ notice. This allows me time to re-book the cancelled appointment slot or offer it to anyone on the waiting list.
Cancellations made 24-48 hours prior to the treatment will incur a charge of 50% if that appointment can’t be filled. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice or missed appointments will be charged in full unless the space can be filled.
I appreciate that there are a number of valid reasons for cancelling an appointment. In order to be consistent with all clients, cancellation fees will only be waived in the event of a urgent medical emergency requiring immediate professional treatment, a death in the family, or natural disaster.
